Being Singapore’s national credentialing system, the WSQ certification has proven to be a powerful business tool to enhance learners’ competitive edge in the marketplace.

The certification process is relevant to both new and experienced professionals.

We would like to invite professionals who are keen to explore training as an alternate income stream or individuals who are passionate about sharing their life experiences with others to consider the option of becoming certified WSQ trainers in the Generic Skills framework.

TRAINER’S REQUIREMENTS UNDER WSQ GENERIC SKILLS FRAMEWORK

Selection Criteria

Minimum Entry Requirement (Educational Qualification)
- Minimum 4 GCE ‘O’ Level credits or Level 5 WPLN qualification
- Pass in English Language in GCE ‘O’ level or Level 4 WPL qualification
Minimum Entry Requirement (WSQ Qualification, e.g. ACTA)
- Full certification in Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)
- Having conducted at least one WSQ Certificate course in any of the WSQ Generic Skills framework. (Level 3)
Relevant Work Experience(s) (Years of Service)
- Minimum two (2) years of service in any employment at the supervisory level in Singapore
- preferably, at least one (1) year of work experience in managerial position.
Past Training Experience
- Preferably, have some experience in teaching, training or learning facilitation experience, e.g. classroom teaching, on-the-job training (OJT), outdoor/leadership training, company events/retreats that involve group activities, etc.

All experiences in [a], [b] and [c] are required; item [d] is optional.

Personal Attributes of Trainers

Trainer’s Development

Fulfill Train-the-trainer (TTT) on respective WSQ Training Program which one has been assigned to facilitate.
Fulfill regular refresher training on relevant topics including adult learning principles, WSQ assessment principles, adult learning pedagogy e.g. Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction, David Kolb’s Experiential Learning etc
Fulfill Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training as required by relevant regulatory bodies.

Management Interview

Independent Contractor’s Agreement

All successful candidates who meet the aforesaid criteria will be offered an Independent Contractor’s Agreement by ETE ACADEMY Pte Ltd. The remuneration package of each trainer is different, subject to the relevant experience of individual AEs.

In addition, ETE ACADEMY Management reserves the rights to not grant any training assignment to any approved AEs without giving any reasons or explanation.
